Here’s the new Halloween cover photo for my Facebook and twitter pages — thought I’d continue with the black cat theme I’ve been doing for Inktober. I’ve been languishing lately over photos of adoptable cats, since we lost our beautiful, beloved tuxedo kitty, Mak (whose image has appeared in these posts many times) last summer. I’m feeling ready for another cat, and it’s showing up in my art — hence all the black cats, as I’ve been looking at a lot of them because they don’t get adopted as quickly as other colours. Silly humans, who wouldn’t want their own mini-panther? Anyway, in this little picture (it’s about 3×8 inches) Mak makes a comeback in a kitten-sized reincarnation, and is admiring a very proud and Halloween-y black cat.
