Miss Tabby Tallulah

Summer Art Challenge Day 41

Here’s a new character, Miss Tabby Tallulah. I wasn’t sure what colours to make her or her clothes, so I’m going to wait until tomorrow to paint her. If she’s a grey tabby, she’ll need a different colour outfit than if she’s an orange tabby (one of the rare females). My first impulse was to make her a Siamese, but I thought stripes would be fun, and besides I liked the name Tabby. Sometimes it’s better to sleep on these things; I occasionally even have the solutions come up in dreams!

Besides drawing, I’ve been quite busy putting together a prototype comic of the Iris the Art Muse cartoons, and have just ordered a small run for Yukomicon. The proof looked good, though I may do some colour tweaking on later versions. Here’s the cover I came up with:

I wanted to have a really clean look to the cover, and this works. I may do a more comic-y cover later; I want to see the response to this one first.

And here are the three boxes of Spam and the Sasquatch, complete with packing peanuts!

I now have three comics to sell next weekend, as well as my fantasy prints and possibly original art. I may make some prints of the characters, too.
