VanCAF, Ho!

How I’m feeling right now! Purrr! Stretch! Knead!

I just found out today that I’ve been accepted for a table at VanCAF, Vancouver’s own Comic Arts Festival. I was on a waiting list, as space is very tight this year, and am very excited that they found a place for me. I went last year and really enjoyed it. I had just been to TCAF, a huge event held in Toronto’s Reference Library, and was overwhelmed, nay, gobsmacked! by it. VanCAF is along similar lines, but much smaller — more human in scale and not nearly as exhausting. I actually got to talk to all the artists there, even dividing my time between the panels and the artist’s tables. I’m so looking forward to being a part of the action this year.

So if you’re planning to be in Vancouver on May 23/24, come on down to the Roundhouse in Gastown for this great FREE event! I’m planning to have another new comic out by then as well as some “merch” (Spam the Cat t-shirts, anyone?), and will be posting about my progress here, so stay tuned!

    • It would be great if you could come anytime, Charlotte! Probably better chance of good weather later in the summer, though we did luck out last year and it was pretty nice for our trip across the water to the big city.

      • I would dearly love to come up sometime. Denise and I are buying a site built home sometime between now and then. We are Excited! It’ll be great to have our own place again and this one will be all new, so we don’t have to have repairmen over all the time! We’ll probably just be getting good and settled in by then!

I'd love to know — what do you think about this?
