A one day event celebrating comics and graphic novels, their creators, and their readers!
In between teaching comic classes and making comics, I’ve also been part of a team that’s running an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign for the comic festival at Camosun College, where I graduated from the Comics and Graphic Novels program back in 2013. It’s the third year of the festival, but newly branded as the Camosun Comic Arts Festival, or CCAF. The aim of the festival is to feature the makers of comics and graphic novels, and we have a great lineup of guests already, as well as the students and alumni of the program.
The Indiegogo campaign pretty much explains it all, in text and in a nice little video, but since this is my blog, I’d like to take this opportunity to mention that I have donated a piece of artwork to be one of the perks for donating to the campaign — a print at the $50 level and the actual, real-by-gosh original at the $150 level! Both perks come with some other offerings too — take a look at the campaign for the details.
Without further ado, here is my piece, which is part of my Quadra Cats series:
If you’re a fan of comics and graphic novels, go check out our Indiegogo Campaign! Please donate, too, or if you can’t, please pass it on — sharing is a great help to us, too.
(yes, I really did shamelessly link 3 times to the indiegogo — you can tell I really want you to go look, eh? *grin*)
