Inktober, Day 5. I’ve been digitally filing illustrations and doing last little tweaks to the book art all day in Photoshop. Getting to do a wee quick drawing was a balm to my weary, computer-mazed eyes! Today’s prompt word was “sad”, but I didn’t want to do a sad drawing. So I resorted to my favourite animal subject, the noble cat. Ask a cat if the bowl is half empty or half full, and he’ll tell you…

I’ve abandoned the limited palette. Totally. Just in case anyone cares. I’m going to have me some fun with my colours. (ink and pencil drawing, about 20 minutes, 3.5 x 5.5 inches)
Ha ha! All dogs lie also! I get the ‘middle eaten out of the bowl’ deal constantly 😉

Heehee! I’ve never had a dog who didn’t lick the lining of its bowl clean (and *then* ask for more, pleading “still hungry”). Perhaps they’ve been taking lessons from cats!
