On the last day of the year, what better thing to do than to draw! I’ve been working on some character drawings, and decided to practice a bit of digital “inking” on a couple of them. I’m working on a story inspired by Bunhilde, the bunny Viking I drew during Inktober of 2015:
…and have been working on some Eurasian Red Squirrels (in greyscale!) who are part of the story:

Augurtooth, a squirrel seeress

Ratatosk, a denizen of the World Tree, Yggdrasil
I will probably give these squirrels more elaborate costumes at some point, but right now I’m just working on learning how they look as squirrels.
Happy New Year everyone!
They look great!

Aw, thank you, Lorrie! I haven’t been posting as much this past year, so much going on (mostly making art, but no time to write or else private projects!). I’m going to try to blog more this year. New Year’s Resolution!

I understand, Karen. I am so grateful to have so much inspiration but some days I wish there were more hours in a day! Here’s to creating…whatever form that takes. Best wishes!
